UK’s Best Workplaces™ recognition

ProCook has been ranked among the UK’s Best Workplaces™ (2022) by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture. The accolade was awarded following the results of an in-depth employee survey shared with the brand’s 700 strong UK workforce that measured employee satisfaction and workplace culture. ProCook is headquartered in Gloucestershire and employs around 200 people in the area.

With an overall positivity rating of 83%, ProCook scored over 80% in many key focus areas including leadership behaviour and effectiveness, communication, camaraderie and community.

HR and ESG Director Sarah Wheatley said:

“Workplace satisfaction is key to the performance of any organisation so it is crucial we focus on the happiness of our employees and uphold ethical and inclusive business practices. It’s very rewarding to know our colleagues agree we’re doing a good job.’

Founder and CEO Daniel O’Neill said:

“I’m immensely proud of this achievement as we have done a huge amount of work to ensure our employees are provided with an environment that enables them to thrive. To receive such positive feedback from our own people tells us we’re on the right track, and to see we rank so highly amongst UK companies as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces is the icing on the cake.

ProCook has seen great success in the past few years and we couldn’t have achieved any of it without the hard work and dedication of our retail, warehouse and head office teams. I want to thank every single employee for their contribution and look forward to the future.”

“Even in times of agonising uncertainty, at Best Workplaces™ the shared mantra of ‘purpose over profit’ has stood firm,” said Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place to Work® UK. “We’re incredibly proud to recognise the 290 companies on our list for their outstanding workplace cultures, and unwavering commitment to supporting employees so they can deliver the best strategic solutions to ever-changing business opportunities and challenges.”

To determine the 2022 UK's Best Workplaces™ list, Great Place to Work® performed rigorous evaluations of hundreds of employee survey responses alongside Culture Audit™ submissions from leaders at each company. They then used these data insights to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience.

Those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status.
